The flight to Paro is one of the most beautiful experiences you can have while visiting Bhutan. When you land at the airport, you will be able to experience panoramic views of the Himalayas and other prominent peaks. The landing experience at Paro Airport is unique, as you will see Bhutanese hillsides and make a few steep twists to arrive at this wonderful and small airport in Bhutan. A skilled Bhutanese guide will meet you upon arrival. Meet and greet, then drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Check in to the hotel and stroll & explore the town of Thimphu.

After breakfast, the whole day is dedicated to sightseeing in Thimphu, which includes Kuenselphodrang, National Memorial Chorten, Folk Heritage Museum, and a typical Bhutanese lunch at the Folk Heritage Restaurant would be a great experience. Thimphu to Phobjika

Thimphu to Phobjika

After breakfast, transfer to Phobjikha. On arrival, check in to the hotel, followed by an overnight stay in the Gangtey Hotel.

Excursion tour to Gangtey & back to Punakha

After breakfast, drive to Gangtey Valley, which is located in the beautiful, broad, and U-shaped glacial valley of Phobjikha. After arrival, check in to the hotel, and after lunch, we will hike on nature trails. From the small hilltop overlooking Gangtey Goemba, head downhill through flower meadows to Semchubara village and from there through beautiful forest and into the open valley. After passing a chorten and Khewang Lhakhang, the trail ends at the local community school, which involves a 30-minute walk up to the start of town. Black-Necked Crane Information Centre, which is situated on the edge of the forest and wetland along the main road of Phobjikha Valley, the Black-Necked Crane Information Centre has an observation room equipped with high-power telescopes and spotting scopes for catching the best view of the cranes. The center also offers display information that outlines the natural and cultural history of the area. There is a small gift shop, which sells handicrafts produced by the local people.

Punakha / Wangdue toward Paro

Punakha / Wangdue toward Paro

After breakfast, you will visit the following tourist sites in Punakha/Wangdue, which include: Punakha Dzong, Chimi Lhakhang, and Punakha Suspension Bridge. After sightseeing, you will take a road trip from Punakha to Paro, which is located across the famous Dochu La Pass. During the road trip, you will pass through Dochula, and you will spot the mani wall, chorten, and prayer flags. This is the countryโ€™s highest motorable road. You can even spot the peaks of surrounding mountains if the sky is clear. Top peaks to spot during the drive are Masagang, Tsendagang, Terigang, Kangphugang, and Table Mountain. This includes the Gangkhar Puensum peak, which is the highest mountain in Bhutan and the highest unclimbed mountain in the world. On arrival, check into the hotel. Overnight Stay in Paro.

Discovering Paro

After breakfast, embark on a day full of sightseeing in Paro. The iconic and famous sightseeing includes Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger's Nest, which is perched on a cliff and offers a stunning view. Other notable sites include Nyamai Zam, Jangtsag Dumgtse Lhakhang, and Druk Choeding Lhakhang. In the evening, enjoy a stroll through the local market before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, go for a full-day sightseeing of Paro. You will see the following tourist sites in Paro: Tachog Lhakhang, Rinpung Dzong, Ta Dzong National Museum, Overnight stay at Paro.
