The flight to Paro is one of the most beautiful experiences you can have while visiting Bhutan. When you land at the airport, you will be able to experience panoramic views of the Himalayas and other prominent peaks. The landing experience at Paro Airport is unique, as you will see Bhutanese hillsides and make a few steep twists to arrive at this wonderful and small airport in Bhutan. A skilled Bhutanese guide will meet you upon arrival. Meet and greet, then drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Check in to the hotel and stroll & explore the town of Thimphu.

Thimphu - Fullday Sightseeing

Stroll through the colorful streets of the semi-developed markets and catch a glimpse of the national flag hoisting. Capture the enormous view of Thimphu Dzong. Explore the Simtokha Dzong and Tashichho Dzong. Take a stroll through the Royal Takin Zoo and meet joyful takins, the national animal of Bhutan. Go for an art exploration at the National Library, the School of Arts & Crafts, the Handicrafts & Textile Museum, and the Handmade Paper Factory. Trail up to the Bhutan Broadcasting Service (BBS) Tower and watch the whole town settling in. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Thimphu to Paro

Devour a wholesome breakfast & proceed to Paro en route visit 17 century Paro Dzong (Fortress) on foot, and continue walking through the oldest wooden bridge still in use. After reaching Paro, check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, embark on a full day of sightseeing in Paro. Highlights include the iconic Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger's Nest, which is perched on a cliff and offers stunning views. Other notable sites include Nyamai Zam, Jangtsa Dumtseg Lhakhang, and Druk Choeding Lhakhang*. In the evening, enjoy a stroll through the local market before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.
